Quellen & Standards

This page explains how Trendlogik sources, verifies and reviews the news we publish. It is meant to give you, our reader, a clear understanding of our editorial methods and the tools you have to challenge our reporting. If you ever wonder how a story was put together or whether you can trust it, start here.

What sources do we rely on day to day?

We use primary sources, official documents, direct interviews and trusted secondary sources. Every fact is verified before publication by a named writer, an editor and a dedicated fact‑checker. No piece is published without human approval.

Our daily newsroom depends on a mix of public records – government reports, court rulings, press conferences and parliamentary transcripts – alongside original interviews with experts, officials and people directly affected by the story. For economic and market coverage, our Wirtschaftreporter Sabine Böhm draws on central bank data, Statistics Sweden (SCB) and independent economic institutes. We also maintain a vetted list of contacts for rapid fact‑checking when breaking news arrives. When we use secondary sources such as wire services or partner outlets, we attribute them clearly and independently verify the core claims.

Our fact‑checking policy sets out the protocols our team follows, including a minimum of two independent sources for non‑obvious factual claims. Our Ansvarig för faktagranskning, Miriam Bergmann, oversees this process and can be reached directly via factcheck@trendlogik.de.

How can you challenge our reporting?

You can submit a correction request, a formal complaint or a news tip. Our fact‑checking team reviews every challenge and, where an error is confirmed, we publish a transparent correction with an explanation.

We take accuracy seriously. If you believe an article contains a factual error, please email corrections@trendlogik.de with the URL, the alleged error and your source. Our editor will assess the claim within two working days. For more serious concerns – such as bias, misleading framing or ethical breaches – use complaints@trendlogik.de. All complaints are logged and reviewed by Chefredaktör Andreas Klein, who decides on a response. Where we change a story, we append a correction notice at the top of the article detailing what was wrong and when it was fixed.

We also welcome tips from whistle‑blowers and confidential sources. You can contact our newsdesk securely via tips@trendlogik.de, or use the Tip Us page to learn about encrypted channels.

How this works in practice

Let us walk you through a concrete example. Suppose our Politikredaktör Stefan Vogel reports on a new government proposal to adjust pension indexation. First, he obtains the original press release from the Swedish Ministry of Social Affairs and the official bill text. Then he interviews an independent economist from a university, cross‑references the projected cost with the Swedish Pensions Agency’s latest forecast, and checks the political background via parliamentary records. The article is drafted by Stefan, reviewed by Redaktionschef Vanessa Lehmann for headline and structure, and then sent to Miriam Bergmann for fact‑checking. Miriam verifies the figures against the original government document, the economist’s statement and the Pensions Agency dataset. Only after she signs off does the piece get scheduled for publication. If a reader later spots that we misstated a percentage, they email corrections. Within a day we confirm the error, publish a correction and add a note to the article. That is the cycle we follow on every story.
