What this means for you, our reader
You can trust everything you read on Trendlogik because we hold every piece of content to the same five-step standard: a named journalist drafts it, an editor reviews it, a fact-checker verifies the claims, someone like me approves it, and we clearly label what kind of content it is. When you land on a page, you can instantly tell whether you are reading a straight news report, an opinion piece, a feature analysis, or commercially supported material — and you can see exactly who wrote it and how it was funded.
This editorial policy page is your guide to how we operate. You do not need to read it every time you visit, but it is always available if you want to check how a particular article was produced or what a label like “sponsored” means. We believe that transparency is the foundation of trust, and we have designed every section below to answer the questions our readers most often ask.
How do we decide what to publish?
Our editorial process begins with a news judgment call by our Redaktionschef Vanessa Lehmann, who commissions stories that matter to readers in Sweden and internationally. Every article then moves through four mandatory stages: research and drafting by a named writer, editorial review by a section editor, fact-checking by Miriam Bergmann’s team, and final approval by me, Chefredaktör Andreas Klein.
We do not publish anything that has not passed all four stages. If a breaking story requires speed, we publish a brief initial version with a clear “developing” label and update it as soon as full verification is complete. Our editorial mission — trustworthy Swedish journalism without spin or oversimplification — guides every decision, from story selection to headline choice. Commercial partnerships never influence that process; our advertising and sponsored-content teams operate separately from the newsroom.
How do we distinguish news, opinion, features, and sponsored content?
Every article on Trendlogik carries a visible label just below the headline that tells you what type of content it is. News articles are labelled “News — Factual Reporting,” opinion pieces are labelled “Opinion — Author’s View,” features are labelled “Analysis — Background & Context,” and sponsored or affiliate content is labelled “Sponsored Content” or “Contains Affiliate Links.” You will never see an opinion piece presented as a straight news report.
News articles report verified facts without commentary. Opinion pieces are clearly attributed to the author and represent their personal analysis, not the publication’s institutional stance. Features provide deeper context, often including multiple perspectives, and are reviewed by both the Politikredaktör or Kulturredaktör and the fact-checking team. Sponsored content is produced in collaboration with a commercial partner but remains subject to our full editorial process — the difference is that the topic is suggested by the partner, and the article carries a prominent “Sponsored” label. Affiliate links are disclosed at the bottom of every article that contains them, and they never affect the editorial conclusion.
What article-level transparency do you provide?
Below every article you will find: the author’s full name with a link to their biography on our Our Team page, the date of publication and any update, a list of sources used with links where possible, a note on whether AI-assisted tools were used in research or drafting, and the name of the editor who reviewed the piece. If a correction was made after publication, you will see a correction notice at the top of the article with the original error and the correction.
We also link to our Fact-Checking Policy and Corrections Policy from every article page so you can easily understand how we ensure accuracy and what to do if you spot a mistake. Our fact-checkers verify all claims, statistics, quotes, and attributions before publication, and they maintain a log of all sources used. If a source is anonymous, we explain why anonymity was granted, except in cases where revealing the source would put someone at risk.
How this works in practice
Let us take a concrete example. Suppose you read an article on Trendlogik titled “Swedish government proposes new energy tax for 2026.” The label under the headline reads “News — Factual Reporting.” The byline shows the name of a Politikredaktör, say Stefan Vogel, and you can click through to his biography on our Our Team page. At the bottom, you see that the article was reviewed by Redaktionschef Vanessa Lehmann, fact-checked by Miriam Bergmann’s team, and approved for publication by me. The sources section lists the government press release, two independent energy analysts, and a parliamentary committee report. There is a note that AI-assisted transcription was used for a recorded interview with one analyst, but the quotes were verified by the journalist and the analyst. There is no sponsored or affiliate label, so you know this is independent editorial content. If the tax proposal changes a week later, we publish an updated version with a clear “Updated” date and a correction notice if needed.
Who owns and funds Trendlogik?
Trendlogik is owned and operated by Trendlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). Our registered office is Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. We are an independent Swedish digital news publisher founded in 2024, and we are not owned by any political party, government, or large media conglomerate. Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing — all of which are clearly disclosed on our Ownership and Funding page and our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure page.
Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. Our advertising team and editorial team are separate, and no advertiser or sponsor has approval over editorial content. Sponsored content is clearly labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed. If you ever see content that you believe is not properly labelled, please contact our fact-checking team at factcheck@trendlogik.de or our editorial team at editorial@trendlogik.de.
How do we use AI and automation?
We may use AI-assisted tools to support research, drafting, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summaries, and transcription. However, every piece of published editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor. AI tools never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience, or expert profiles. For a full explanation of which tools we use and how they are governed, see our AI and Automation Policy.
How do we attribute and credit our journalists?
Every article on Trendlogik carries the name of the journalist who drafted it. Our team includes Vanessa Lehmann (Redaktionschef), Stefan Vogel (Politikredaktör), Sabine Böhm (Wirtschaftreporter), Peter Heinrich (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör), and Miriam Bergmann (Ansvarig för faktagranskning). You can read full biographies of every team member on our Our Team page. If a journalist uses a pseudonym for safety reasons, that is disclosed in the article.
What if you have a complaint?
We take complaints seriously. If you believe an article contains an error, is misleading, or violates our editorial standards, please contact our complaints team at complaints@trendlogik.de or by phone at +46 8 525 030 61. We will acknowledge your complaint within two business days and provide a substantive response within ten business days. For the full process, see our Complaints Procedure. You can also contact our fact-checking team directly at factcheck@trendlogik.de if you have concerns about factual accuracy.
In short
Everything we publish is written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor, fact-checked, and clearly labelled. You can always see who wrote it, what type of content it is, and how it was funded — and if something is wrong, you can tell us directly and we will fix it. That is our promise to you as a reader of Trendlogik.
