What is Trendlogik and what do we stand for?
Trendlogik is an independent Swedish digital news publisher, launched in 2024, that delivers clear, practical coverage of Swedish politics, economy, culture and current affairs for readers in Sweden and internationally. We exist to help you understand complex issues without spin or oversimplification.
Our tagline — “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland” — reflects our commitment to serving German-speaking readers who need trustworthy journalism about Sweden. Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. AI-assisted tools may support research or formatting, but they never replace human editorial judgement; every piece is approved by a human editor. We are owned and operated by Trendlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), with a Swedish editorial line and a team based in Sweden and Germany.
What topics do we cover?
We cover Swedish politics, economy, culture, society and current affairs — the stories that matter to people living in Sweden and to those abroad who follow the country closely. Our beat includes the Riksdag, government policy, municipal politics, markets, household finances, cultural trends, lifestyle and social issues.
We publish explainers, news analysis, background pieces and investigative features. Our Wirtschaft reporters follow marknader and hushållsekonomi; our Kulturredaktör covers arts, literature and social change; our Politikredaktör tracks legislation, elections and public administration. Whether it is a reform of the Swedish school system, a shift in monetary policy at the Riksbank, or a cultural debate about integration, we aim to give you the context and clarity you need.
How do we ensure our reporting is trustworthy?
Every article we publish goes through a structured editorial process: a named writer drafts it, an editor reviews it, and a dedicated fact-checker verifies sources and claims before publication. This three-step workflow is designed to catch errors, prevent bias and maintain accountability.
Our Editorial Policy sets out our standards for sourcing, attribution, corrections and conflicts of interest. Our Fact-Checking Policy explains how we verify information, what we check and how we handle mistakes. We also maintain a Corrections Policy and a Complaints Procedure so that readers can hold us to account. Every journalist on our team is named on the site, with contact details, so you know who wrote what and how to reach them.
How this works in practice
Imagine we are reporting on a new government proposal to reform Sweden’s housing market. Our Politikredaktör, Stefan Vogel, writes the initial article based on the official proposal, interviews with opposition parties and data from Statistics Sweden. The piece is reviewed by Vanessa Lehmann, our Redaktionschef, who checks the structure, headline and overall fairness. It then goes to Miriam Bergmann, our fact-checking editor, who verifies the statistics, the quotes and the legislative references. Only after all three sign off does the article publish. If we later discover a mistake — say, a misinterpretation of a rule — we correct it publicly and note the change at the bottom of the article.
Who is responsible for what we publish?
Our Chefredaktör (editor-in-chief) is Andreas Klein, who oversees editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. Our Redaktionschef (newsroom chief) is Vanessa Lehmann, who manages the daily newsroom, commissions articles and reviews headlines. Both are reachable via the contact details on our Our Team page.
The wider editorial team includes Stefan Vogel (Politikredaktör), Sabine Böhm (Wirtschaftreporter), Peter Heinrich (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör) and Miriam Bergmann (Ansvarig för faktagranskning). Each journalist is named on every article they write, and their direct email addresses and phone numbers are listed on our site. We believe transparency about who is responsible for what builds trust — and makes it easy for you to raise questions, suggest corrections or tip us off to a story.
Who owns and funds Trendlogik?
