Trustworthy journalism depends on readers knowing who is behind the news and how it is paid for. This page gives you a clear, honest account of Trendlogik’s ownership, funding model and editorial safeguards, so you can assess our independence for yourself.

What does this mean for you as a reader?

This page is designed to help you understand exactly who owns Trendlogik, how we are funded and what guarantees protect our editorial independence. You can use it to check our commercial relationships, our ownership structure and the people responsible for our journalism.

We publish this information openly because trust cannot be assumed — it must be earned and verified. Every funding stream, every commercial partnership and every governance arrangement is explained here so that you can judge whether our reporting meets your standards. If you ever have a question that this page does not answer, we invite you to contact our editorial team directly.

Nothing on this site is owned by a political party, a government body or a corporate lobby. Trendlogik is a private, independently owned news publisher with no ideological affiliation. Our only allegiance is to accurate, fair and context-rich journalism about Sweden.

How is Trendlogik funded?

Trendlogik is funded through a diversified mix of display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. No single revenue source dominates our budget, which protects our editorial room from undue pressure.

Display advertising appears on article pages and section fronts. Affiliate links may appear in articles about products or services; when a reader clicks and makes a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to the reader. Commercial partnerships involve bespoke campaigns with advertisers, always clearly labelled as sponsored content. Newsletter sponsorships allow a business to sponsor a single edition while exercising no control over the editorial content inside it. Content licensing lets third-party platforms republish our work under terms that preserve our attribution and editorial integrity.

All sponsored or commercial material is labelled so you can tell it apart from independent editorial content. Affiliate links are disclosed within the article or in a footer note. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions — that principle is written into our house style guide and is non-negotiable for every editor and reporter. For full details, see our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.

How this works in practice

Imagine a Swedish energy company wants to sponsor a newsletter edition about renewable-energy policy. The commercial team negotiates the sponsorship fee and the company receives a mention in the newsletter header. The editorial team independently chooses the article’s topic, interviews sources and writes the text. The editor reviews the piece for factual accuracy, balance and compliance with our standards. The sponsor sees the final newsletter at the same moment as all subscribers — they have no advance preview, no veto and no influence over the content. The newsletter carries a clear “Sponsored by” label at the top. This process applies equally to a sponsored article, a display campaign or any other commercial arrangement. The editorial firewall is absolute.

The same principle governs affiliate links. If a reporter writes about a personal-finance app and includes an affiliate link, the editorial decision to recommend the app is based solely on journalistic criteria — usefulness, accuracy and reader benefit — not on the existence of the affiliate arrangement. The link is disclosed, and the reporter’s recommendation would stand even if the affiliate programme did not exist.

Who owns Trendlogik?

Trendlogik is owned and operated by Trendlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar under company number C 92009, with a registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. The company is privately held and has no shareholders with controlling stakes beyond the founding team.

Being registered in Gibraltar means Trendlogik Media Ltd. operates under a well-established European legal framework that requires proper accounting, transparency and corporate governance. The company’s day-to-day management is based in Sweden, where our editorial team works, and our editorial line is operated from Germany. This international structure reflects the global audience we serve while keeping editorial decision-making close to the Swedish political and cultural reality we cover.

No external investor, political party or government body holds a stake in the company. The founding team retains full ownership and control, which ensures that editorial direction is set by journalists, not by commercial or political interests. For more about the people who run Trendlogik, see Our Team.

How is editorial independence guaranteed?

Editorial independence at Trendlogik is guaranteed by a clear governance structure that places ultimate accountability with the editor-in-chief, Andreas Klein, who answers to no commercial or political stakeholder. Every funding stream is ring-fenced from the newsroom.

Andreas Klein, as Chefredaktör, is responsible for all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. He reports directly to the company’s board, which is composed of individuals with no ties to advertisers, sponsors or political groups. The commercial team and the editorial team operate in separate reporting lines and share no targets or incentives. A reporter’s performance is measured by accuracy, fairness and reader trust — never by advertising revenue or partnership volume.

Our Editorial Policy and Fact-Checking Policy formalise these safeguards. Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. AI-assisted tools may support research or drafting, but they never replace human editorial judgement; every piece is approved by a human editor. The editor-in-chief has the final say on all content and can reject any commercial arrangement that might compromise editorial integrity.
