If you spot something in a Trendlogik article that you believe is inaccurate, this page explains how we handle corrections and what you can expect from us. We treat every report seriously and aim to resolve issues quickly, transparently and fairly. Use the sections below to understand the process, report an error, or find the right contact.
How do I report an error?
You can report any suspected error by emailing corrections@trendlogik.de. Please include the article URL, a clear description of what you believe is wrong, and, where possible, supporting evidence such as a source or screenshot. You may also use our general contact address info@trendlogik.de or the complaints form on our complaints procedure page.
We welcome reports from all readers, whether you are in Sweden, Germany, or elsewhere. You do not need to be a subscriber or registered user. Every report is logged and assigned a reference number so you can follow up.
Who handles correction requests?
All correction requests are reviewed by our standards desk, led by Miriam Bergmann, Ansvarig för faktagranskning (fact-checking and corrections). She coordinates the verification process and ensures that every claim is checked against original sources before any change is made.
The standards desk operates independently of the newsroom. If a correction is needed, the responsible editor and writer are informed, but the final decision on whether to publish a correction rests with Miriam Bergmann or, in more complex cases, with the editor-in-chief. You can reach the fact-checking team directly at factcheck@trendlogik.de.
What happens after I report an error?
Within one working day you will receive an acknowledgment that we have received your report. We then investigate the claim, which usually takes no more than five working days. If the issue is straightforward, such as a factual error in a name, date or figure, we may correct it within hours.
If we confirm a material error — one that could mislead a reader or that changes the meaning of an article — we update the article and add a clear correction note at the top or bottom of the page. The note states what was wrong, what the correct information is, and the date of the correction. Minor errors, such as a typographical slip that does not affect understanding, are corrected without a separate note, but the change is logged internally.
You will receive an update from us once the correction is made. If we decide not to correct, we explain our reasoning and, where appropriate, offer the option to escalate further.
How this works in practice
Imagine an article published on Trendlogik on 10 March 2025 that stated “Sweden’s GDP grew by 1.2% in the fourth quarter of 2024.” A reader emails corrections@trendlogik.de pointing out that the correct figure from Statistics Sweden is 1.1%. The standards desk checks the original source, confirms the error, and within two hours updates the article. The corrected article now reads “Sweden’s GDP grew by 1.1% in the fourth quarter of 2024” with a note at the top: “Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated GDP growth as 1.2% owing to a data entry error. The correct figure is 1.1%. We regret the error. Corrected on 11 March 2025.”
The reader receives an email confirming the change and is thanked for their help. No further escalation is needed. If the error had been more complex — for example, a misinterpreted government report — the standards desk would have consulted with the relevant reporter and editor before issuing the correction.
What if I am not satisfied with the response?
If you believe that your report was not handled properly or that a correction was inadequate, you can escalate the matter to the editor-in-chief, Andreas Klein. Email anders.lindqvist@trendlogik.de with your reference number and a brief explanation of why you are dissatisfied. Andreas Klein reviews all escalations personally and issues a final decision within ten working days.
For serious unresolved concerns, you may also use our formal complaints procedure, which provides a structured path for recourse outside the corrections process. We are committed to learning from every mistake and to being accountable to our readers.
In short
We will correct every material error promptly and transparently, and we value your help in making our journalism more accurate. Report any mistake to corrections@trendlogik.de, and our standards desk under Miriam Bergmann will investigate and respond within five working days.
