What does this mean for you?
When you see a piece marked as “Sponsored” on Trendlogik, it means a third party has paid for that content. Your trust matters to us, so we always label such material clearly and treat it separately from our editorial reporting. This page explains how we handle sponsored content and what you can expect from us.
Sponsored content is produced by or in collaboration with an advertiser. It may appear in the form of articles, videos, or newsletters, and it is always flagged so you can tell the difference between independent journalism and paid material. We never allow commercial considerations to influence our news coverage or editorial decisions.
How do we label sponsored content?
Every sponsored piece carries a visible label – usually at the top of the article – that says “Sponsored” or “In partnership with [advertiser name]”. The same label appears in article listings and on social-media previews. If the content is part of a sponsored newsletter, the subject line and opening paragraph will include the disclosure.
We also require that sponsored material be visually distinct from editorial content, using a different layout or colour treatment where possible. This ensures you can instantly recognise it as a paid piece, not a news story written by our editorial team.
What is the difference between sponsored content and affiliate links?
Sponsored content is paid for by an advertiser and may be written by us or by the advertiser, but always under our editorial oversight. Affiliate links, on the other hand, are ordinary editorial links to products or services – if you click and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. Our advertising and affiliate disclosure page explains this in detail.
The key distinction is that affiliate links do not involve a separate paid piece of content; they appear within regular articles. Sponsored content is a stand-alone item that is paid for upfront. Both are clearly disclosed, but they serve different purposes and are governed by different rules.
How this works in practice
Imagine a Swedish energy company wants to publish a piece about heat pumps on Trendlogik. We review the proposal to ensure it is factual and relevant for our readers. The final article carries the label “Sponsored: in partnership with [company name]” and includes a note at the bottom stating that the company paid for the placement. Our editorial team does not write the article unless we have full editorial control over its content, and we always fact-check any claims made. If the company later wishes to update the article, we require approval from our fact-checking team and the editors named on our contact page.
How do we protect editorial independence?
Our editorial team – led by Chefredaktör Andreas Klein and Redaktionschef Vanessa Lehmann – makes all decisions about what appears in our news sections. No advertiser or sponsor has any influence over those decisions. Sponsored content is handled by a separate team and is never mixed with our reporting or analysis.
Any commercial partnership, including sponsored content, is reviewed by our fact-checking team (headed by Miriam Bergmann) and must comply with our editorial policy. If a sponsor attempts to steer editorial coverage, we terminate the relationship immediately.
Who is responsible for this policy?
Trendlogik is published by Trendlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). Chefredaktör Andreas Klein has ultimate responsibility for all content, including sponsored pieces. The policy is maintained by our editorial and commercial teams and is reviewed annually.
Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing – all of which are detailed on our ownership and funding page. Sponsored content is one revenue stream among several, but it never compromises our journalistic standards.

In short
Sponsored content on Trendlogik is always clearly labelled and handled separately from our independent journalism. We never let commercial relationships influence our editorial decisions. If you see a sponsored piece, you can trust that we have reviewed it for accuracy and transparency – and that you can always tell the difference between a paid collaboration and a story written by our reporters.
